Old Otliensians  58     Hornsea  6

Hornsea produced their most lacklustre performance of the season as they went down to a determined
home side.  Although missing six first team regulars, Hornsea were lacking ideas throughout the game and
it was the home side who took their chances.  Defeat for the Hollismen saw them slip to sixth place in
Yorkshire Division Four, and they now lie just two points above the relegation zone.  Unfortunately there
was no player who could say they played a decent game as all the players were below par and not at the
races.
Speaking shortly after the game Hornsea captain Jim Richardson said, “ This was a very poor day at the
office for us, we were disrupted earlier in the day with unavailability’s, but the performance on the pitch was
unacceptable.  It is back to the drawing board for us next week at training where we will concentrate on the
basics as we now have a very critical game next week at home to Hemsworth”.
