OTLIENSIANS TOO STRONG FOR HORNSEA

HORNSEA 7 OLD OTLIENSIANS 16
Otliensians took the spoils in this hard fought encounter scoring all of their points in an impressive first half
performance. Otliensians pressed the Hornsea line in the opening 10 minutes but some resolute defence
kept them at bay. Hornsea then made a counter attack and raced sixty yards before the final pass went to
ground and the chance went begging. Everything Otliensians planned seemed to work in the opening half
and they scored two well executed trys and two penalties in an intense twenty minute period up to the half
time whistle.

Hornsea were the better of the two sides in the second half but found it difficult to break through the
opposition defence. It was not until the seventy minute mark that Hornsea finally got on the scoresheet
through Max Clark following a powerful break through two tacklers, Rich Hellstrom added a well struck
penalty. Hornsea pressed the Otliensian line again in the final ten minutes but some well marshalled
defence kept them at bay to see the visitors claim their first win at the Hollis Recreation ground for five
years.
