HORNSEA GET BACK TO WINNING WAYS
Hornsea 34 Hemsworth 3
Hornsea got back to winning ways on Saturday with a comprehensive 34 points to 3 victory over a poor
Hemsworth side, which saw them move up the league table two places to fifth. The Hollismen looked the
better
of the two sides throughout the eighty minutes as they played an expansive game, which their opponents
were not able to cope with. Hornsea took the lead after ten minutes through a try for wing Martyn Pace,
converted by Rich Hellstrom. Hellstrom added a penalty shortly after this to give Hornsea an eight point
lead. Hemsworth added their only points of the game shortly after this with a well struck penalty.
Hornsea maintained the upper hand in the second half as their superior fitness told against their woeful
opposition with four further trys added by Pace, Robinson, Watkins and Clark, with Hellstrom converting
three of the four.
This all improved team performance will hopefully see the Hollismen gain some confidence as they look to
push away from the relegation zone and maintain their Yorkshire Four status.
