HORNSEA LOSE OUT
Garforth 6 Hornsea 3
Playing their final league game of the season Hornsea failed to produce the goods as they went down by 6
points to 3 against Garforth in a closely contested game. Playing with the elements in the first half it was
Hornsea who had most of the territorial advantage, with only some strong Garforth defence keeping the
Hollismen at bay. Hornsea did open the scoring on the twenty minute mark with a well struck penalty by
Rich Hellstrom, but Garforth soon drew level with a penalty of their own. The second half was a dismal
affair with both sides making plenty of errors, however, it was Garforth who got the crucial score with a
penalty kick on the sixty minute mark. The game died out with neither side looking likely to score, the
result saw the Hollismen finish the season in seventh place in Yorkshire Four.
